Introduction

Surah Al Baqarah is the 2nd chapter of the Quran. Sura albakra means (the Cow). This Surah had 40 ruku, 286 verses, 6121 words, and 25613 letters. لَا يُكَلِّفُ اللَّهُ نَفْسًا إِلَّا وُسْعَهَا ۚ لَهَا مَا كَسَبَتْ وَعَلَيْهَا مَا اكْتَسَبَتْ ۗ رَبَّنَا لَا تُؤَاخِذْنَا إِن نَّسِينَا أَوْ أَخْطَأْنَا ۚ رَبَّنَا وَلَا تَحْمِلْ عَلَيْنَا إِصْرًا كَمَا حَمَلْتَهُ عَلَى الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِنَا ۚ رَبَّنَا وَلَا تُحَمِّلْنَا مَا لَا طَاقَةَ لَنَا بِهِ ۖ وَاعْفُ عَنَّا وقفہ وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا وقفہ وَارْحَمْنَا وقفہ ۚ أَنتَ مَوْلَانَا فَانصُرْنَا عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِينَ (286)

رسول اس پر ایمان لایا جو اس کے رب کی طرف سے اس پر نازل کیا گیا اور مسلمان بھی۔ سب الله پر اور اس کے فرشتوں اور اسکی کتابوں اور اسکے رسولوں پر یہ کہتے ہوئے ایمان لائے. کہ ہم اسکے کسی رسول پر ایمان لانے میں فرق نہیں کرتے. اور انہوں نے عرض کی
(285)اے ہمارے رب! ہم نے سنا اور مانا، (ہم پر) تیری معافی ہو اور تیری ہی طرف پھرنا ہے

لله کسی جان پر اس کی طاقت کے برابر ہی بوجھ ڈالتا ہے۔
کسی جان نے جو اچھا کمایا وہ اسی کیلئے ہے اور کسی جان نے جو برا کمایا اس کا وبال اسی پر ہے۔ اے ہمارے رب! اگر ہم بھولیں یا حطا کریں تو ہماری گرفت نہ فرما، اے ہمارے رب! اور ہم پر بھاری بوجھ نہ رکھ جیسا تم نے ہم سے پہلے لوگوں پر رکھا تھا،
اے ہمارے رب! اور ہم پر وہ بوجھ نہ ڈال جس کی ہمیں طاقت نہیں اور ہمیں معاف فرما دے اور ہمیں بخش دے اور ہم پر مہربانی فرما، تو ہمارا مالک ہے پس کافروں کی قوم کے مقابلے میں ہماری مدد فرما۔ (286)

If we forget or make a mistake, do not catch us, O our Lord! do not burden us as much as you burdened the people before us, O our Lord! do not burden us (even) with such a burden that we do not have the strength to bear it. and forgive us (sins), and forgive us, and have mercy on us. Grant it” (286)

Hazrat Nu’man bin Basheer (PBUH) narrates that the Emperor of Madinah (PBUH) said:

“Allah wrote a book 2,000 years before He created the heavens and the earth, and then the last two verses of Surah Al-Baqarah were revealed from it.” Say, in the house where these two verses are recited for three nights, Satan will not come near that house (Tirmidhi Volume 4 Page 404 Hadith 2891)
