Quran Para 9 ( قَالَ ٱلْمَلَأُ ) of the encompasses the final 119 verses of Surah Al-A’raf (from verse 88) and the initial 40 verses of Surah Al-Anfal. A central theme explored in Surah Al A’raf juz 9 revolves around the concept of resurrection, along with vivid depictions of paradise, hell, and the intermediate realm known as the A’raaf. Surah al A‘raaf verse 175, recounts the narrative of a man from the Bani Isra’il named Balam bin Ba’ura. He was granted spiritual insights and elevated states wherein the truth was revealed to him.
The first 40 verses of Surah Al-Anfal in the Quran revolves around the principles of warfare, guidance during conflict, and the importance of steadfastness and unity among believers in facing challenges.
Quran para 9 has two parts:
1. The remaining portion of Surah Al-A’raf.
2. The initial portion of Surah Al-Anfal.
1. Detailed narrative of Prophet Moses (peace be upon him).
2. Mention of the covenant of the Sabbath.
3. The story of Balam bin Ba’ura.
4. All disbelievers are alike.

After the conquest of Egypt, when the Children of Israel were commanded to fight against the oppressive nation, the oppressors became afraid and approached Balaam ibn Ba’ura for help. Balaam possessed the Great Name of Allah. Initially, he refused their request with the help of his knowledge, but when they offered him a bribe, he was swayed. He started to utter cursed words against Prophet Moses and the Children of Israel. However, by the power of Allah, those words turned against him and his own people. As a punishment for his blasphemy against the Prophet, Allah took away his ability to speak and made him hang in a manner resembling a dog. So, his example is like that of a dog.

Surah Anfal verse 2-3 describes attributes of true believers.
1. Fear (of Allah)
2. Recitation (of the Quran)

ایمان والے وہی ہیں کہ جب اللہ کویاد کیا جائے توان کے دل ڈر جاتے ہیں اور جب ان پر اس کی آیات کی تلاوت کی جاتی ہے تو ان کے ایمان میں اضافہ ہوجاتا ہے اور وہ اپنے رب پر ہی بھروسہ کرتے ہیں ۔وہ جو نماز قائم رکھتے ہیں اور ہمارے دئیے ہوئے رزق میں سے ہماری راہ میں خرچ کرتے ہیں ۔
Surah Al-Anfal, verse 1, revolves around the principles of justice, obedience to Allah and His Messenger, and the importance of maintaining peace and harmony within the Muslim community. It emphasizes the fear of Allah and obedience to His commands, particularly regarding the distribution of war spoils (Maal-e-Ghanimat), highlighting the significance of faith and adherence to Islamic teachings in governing worldly affairs.
اے محبوب! تم سے اموالِ غنیمت کے بارے میں پوچھتے ہیں ۔ تم فرماؤ، غنیمت کے مالوں کے مالک اللہ اور رسول ہیں تو اللہ سے ڈرتے رہو اور آ پس میں صلح صفائی رکھو اور اللہ اور اس کے رسول کا حکم مانو اگر تم مومن ہو۔
1. Verse 14: “O you who have believed, when you meet those who disbelieve advancing [for battle], do not turn to them your backs [in flight].”
2. Verse 20: “O you who have believed, obey Allah and His Messenger and do not turn from him while you hear [his order].”
3. Verse 24: “O you who have believed, respond to Allah and to the Messenger when he calls you to that which gives you life. And know that Allah intervenes between a man and his heart and that to Him you will be gathered.”
4. Verse 27: “O you who have believed, do not betray Allah and the Messenger or betray your trusts while you know [the consequence].”
5. Verse 29: “O you who have believed, if you fear Allah, He will grant you a criterion and will remove from you your misdeeds and forgive you. And Allah is the possessor of great bounty.”
6. Verse 45: “O you who have believed, when you encounter a company [from the enemy forces], stand firm and remember Allah much that you may be successful.”
