Ayat al Kursi (آيَة ٱلْكُرْسِيّ)

Al-Suyuti recounts an encounter between a human and a jinn, wherein the human prevails in a wrestling match. As a reward, the jinn imparts knowledge of a Quranic verse. Reciting this verse ensures that no devil (shayṭān) will accompany the man into his house—it is none other than the “Throne Verse.” Because of its association with safeguarding, it is thought to provide protection against various forms of misfortune, encompassing bad luck and the malevolent effects of the evil eye.

Verse of Loan (آیتِ مداینہ)

Verse 282 of Surah Al-Baqarah, also known as the Verse of Loan (Arabic: آية ٱلدين, ’āyatu d-dayn), holds the distinction of being the longest verse in the Quran, found within the longest chapter. Within this verse, the concept of borrowing is elucidated.

Sanctity of Usury

3 juz quran ,Surah Baqarah verse 276 warns that even though someone might make money by charging interest, Allah stops them from getting the full benefits they expect. While they might still have the things they bought with that money, they won’t achieve their goals of getting rich.

Surah Al Imran’s  relevance to Al-Baqarah

The relevance here lies in both chapters addressing the authenticity of the Quran and addressing the People of the Book. Surah Al-Baqarah predominantly directs its discourse towards the Jews, while Al Imran largely turns its focus towards the Christians.

The Four Stories of the Power of Allah

  • The first story is about the Battle of Badr, where three hundred and thirteen defeated a thousand adversaries.
  • The second story revolves around the unexpected provision of fruits to Lady Mary (peace be upon her).
  • The third story concerns the granting of offspring to Prophet Zakariya (peace be upon him) in old age.
  • The fourth story narrates the miraculous birth of Prophet Jesus (peace be upon him) without a father, his speaking as an infant, and his ascension to the living heavens.

Dialogue, Debate, and Reconciliation

There was a dialogue with the People of the Book, then a challenge was made: “Bring your families, and we will bring ours.” Then, together in humility and submission, they prayed to Allah, asking for His curse upon the liars among them. Those who refused were then reconciled through a proposal that was acceptable to all: the invitation to embrace the universal declaration of faith, the testimony of “La ilaha illallah” (There is no god but Allah).

Covenant with Previous Prophets

A covenant was made with the previous prophets that when the final prophet comes, you will believe in him, and if he comes after you, your followers will also believe in him.
