Taraweeh prayer

What is taraweeh?

During the month of Ramadan, a prominent observance is the Taraweeh (or Tarawih) prayer, a distinctive nightly prayer conducted following the obligatory Isha prayer. Muslims engage in the Taraweeh prayer, considering it a special blessing bestowed upon them by the month.

Tarawih is considered Sunnat e Muakkadah, indicating that it is permissible to occasionally miss it, but consistently neglecting it may lead to one being regarded as a transgressor.

What is the time of Taraweeh?

The Taraweeh Prayer, or Namaz Taraweeh, is designated to take place after the Isha Prayer, emphasizing the chronological order of these two nightly prayers. This implies that one cannot initiate the Taraweeh Namaz without having first performed the Isha Prayer. It is mandatory and a fundamental requirement to complete the Isha Prayer before embarking on the Namaz e Taraweeh, underscoring the significance of observing both prayers in sequence during the designated time.

Dua e Taraweeh

During the interval following every set of four rakats in Tarawih, it is advisable to recite the Taraweeh Dua.
