Introduction of Poet

Molana Ahmed Raza Khan Barelvi Qadri is the writer of naat ”Chamak tujh sey paty hain”. Maulana Ahmad Raza Khan Barelvi (1856–1921) was a prominent Indian Islamic scholar, jurist, and Sufi. He was the founder of the Barelvi school of thought, which represents an important branch of Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jamaat. Maulana Ahmad Raza Khan was born on 14 June 1856 in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, India. He received his early education from his father Maulana Naqi Ali Khan. He mastered the Qur’an, Hadith, Fiqh, logic, philosophy, and other sciences. Maulana Ahmad Raza Khan issued fatwas to resolve various issues of his time, collectively known as “Fatawa Razaviya”. These Fatawas cover various topics of Islamic jurisprudence. He wrote more than 1000 books and magazines, including Tafsir, Hadith, Fiqh, Aqeed, Sufism, and other sciences.

Beliefs and Ideologies:

Maulana Ahmad Raza Khan emphasized on the belief of Tawheed and advised to avoid polytheism and heresy. According to them, the love of the Prophet (PBUH) was a part of faith. He also worked prominently in Natiya poetry. Dargah: His Dargah is located in Bareilly, where his Urs is celebrated with great pomp every year.
