Surat Ibraheem (Arabic: إبراهيم) is the 14th chapter of the Quran. It consists of 7 Rukus, 52 verses, 833 words, and 3541 letters. Surat Ibrahim is a Makki sura, and it opens with Muqaṭṭaʻāt letters الر. Surat Ibrahim is named after Prophet Ibrahim because it contains many verses where he prays for his children and for Muslims. The sura mainly discusses the concepts of monotheism, the Day of Judgment, and the narrative of Prophet Ibrahim’s construction of the Kaaba. This sura also recounts the narratives of Prophet Moses and the Children of Israel, Prophet Noah, and the communities of ‘Ād and Thamūd.

  1. Surah Ibrahim  ayat 1 describes the Quran as a revelation intended to guide humanity out of darkness.

  • The Prophet Muhammad states, “Anyone who recites Ibrahim surah and Sura Hijr will be rewarded by Allah tenfold for each believer and non-believer.”
  • Moreover, according to Abu Abdullah Ja‘far ibn Muhammad, inscribing surah e ibrahim on a white cloth and fastening it to a child’s garment will alleviate the child from crying, fear, and common childhood afflictions.
  • Transcribing Surah al Ibrahim onto a white cloth and affixing it to a child’s attire facilitates the process of weaning.
  • Besides,the sura underscores the fundamental concept of monotheism, stressing the significance of devotion to the singular, true God. Ibrahim’s steadfast faith sets an example for believers to follow.it is one of the  lessons from surah Ibrahim.
  • Ibrahim’s confidence in God’s plan, his appreciation for the blessings bestowed upon him, and his readiness to obey divine directives are commendable. The surat also emphasizes the importance of gratitude and reliance on God’s wisdom.
