Surah al Hajj (Arabic: الحج) is the 22nd chapter of the Quran.It contains 10 rukus,78 verses,1279 words,and 5314 letters. The name of this surah is derived from verse 27. Meaning of the surah’s name The Pilgrimage. Surah al Hajj is a Madni surah and it is located in 17th para of the Quran. Its verses discuss the requirements to perform the Hajj and the regulations regarding it. This Surah has numerous verses on the Resurrection and its justification. These verses also include warning about those who reject the happenings of the Afterlife.The surah also discusses about battles with polytheists and idolaters.Hazrat Imam Sadiq says that “The one who reciteth Surah Al Hajj three times a day will have the honor of going to the hajj .Further, he will enter paradise if he passes away while performing the hajj.

Surah Al Hajj benifits
Following are the virtues and benefits of Surah Hajj:
Hazrat Abdullah bin Umer stated that the impoverished migrants complained to Allah’s Messenger that the wealthy had been preferred by Allah over theirs. The Prophet declared, “O you who are poor, Ibring you good news that the believers who are poor will reach paradise half a day ahead of the rich, which is equivalent to five hundred years.” Then Musa ibn ‘Ubaydah stated this verse “Truly, a day to your Lord is like a thousand years in your count”.
Without a doubt, this high reward and virtue are not only for verbally reciting the Surah; rather, they are for reciting it in a way that encourages reflection, which then prompts action.
The Noble Prophet states that everyone who recites the surah Hajj is on par with those who have performed the hajj pilgrimage and will be rewarded similarly to all those who have performed the hajj in the past and in the future.
The Hajj highlights Muslims’ Shari’ah and reveals Muslim strength and solidarity.
All the righteous, in their mutual kindness, compassion, and sympathy, are just like one body. When one of the organs suffers, the whole body responds to it with wakefulness and fever.” [Muslim]
Our Prophet(PBUH) said :one umrah to another umrah will be the atonement of evil deeds for whatever occurs between them, and the obligation of janna is the reward of accepted hajj.
Hazrat Muhammad said, “Perform Hajj and Umrah; continually they rid poverty and sins in the same way that fire purges iron of impurities.” [Ibn Majah and Al-Tirmidhi]
“The Hajj and Umrah pilgrims are Allah’s guests; Allah answers their supplications when they supplicate Him, and He forgives them when they ask for forgiveness.” [Ibn Majah]
