The 6th chapter of the Quran, known as Surah Al Anam (Arabic: ٱلْأَنْعَامْ), means “The Cattle.” It starts in the 7th para/juz of the Holy Quran and ends in the 8th para. This Surah comprises 165 verses and 20 sections known as ruku. The Angel Jibril revealed Surat ul Anam during the Makkan period, addressing the challenges faced by the Prophet and Muslims as they struggled against the idolatrous Makkans. This Mkki surah is named so because it was revealed in Makkah, just a year before the migration to Madinah.
